Dreams and hopes are hard to hold onto when the pain keeps returning. Unfortunately, we can remain stagnant in relationships, jobs, and ways of being as a habit that we develop over a long period of time.

Thriving happens when you see old patterns from a new perspective, find tools to lovingly attend to replace the old, and put your relationship to yourself and what matters most to you in its right place.

Somatic coaching is about seeing yourself and your life from a new perspective and working directly with your body to create
change that lasts.

It’s normal to fear what you don’t know. Taking the step to see someone new takes courage, time, and the desire to make
change in your life.

My clients find that they feel deeper connections to themselves, their higher power, and their desire for greater happiness.
They also experience more depth of feelings and discover the mistaken beliefs they have about grief, sorrow, guilt, despair,
trust, love, and worthiness.

Whether you're here because you were referred by a
current client or found me through your own search,
I'm so glad you've taken the first step in exploring what working together could look like.

We'll begin with a discovery call, where we'll get to know each other a bit and discuss what has brought you to seek support.

From there, we can work together either via Zoom or in-person at my office in Waitsfield, Vermont. I have clients
from all over the country, as well as many local clients.

When you arrive for your session, you can make yourself comfortable in my waiting room, and I'll either greet you in person or via Zoom. I pride myself on running on time, so we'll get started promptly at our scheduled time. I'll set a reminder for us 10 minutes before our session ends, so we can wrap up our work together and begin to integrate the insights and momentum you've gained.

Each session will begin with setting an intention, which we'll relate back to the vision we discussed during our discovery call.

I believe in holding my clients accountable to their goals and commitments, while also remaining flexible to change course when needed. For this reason, I recommend committing to at least 10 sessions together, which allows us time to build momentum and work through any obstacles that arise.

I have a wealth of resources available to support your growth between sessions, including somatic experiments.
These experiments are designed to invite your inner intelligence into the conversation, helping you gain creative insight and turn down the volume of the hijacked brain. They may include breathwork, meditations, heart based practices, vagal toning exercises, movement practices, or parts work, depending on what feels most resonant for you.

Ultimately, our work together will be guided by your own inner teacher and what feels right for you. I'm here to provide guidance and support, but I deeply trust that you already have the wisdom you need within you. Most clients find that after just one or two sessions, they have a whole new way of seeing a problem and begin to release old, long-held habits quickly. Some areas of our life take more time and patience to work through, but we'll always respect the process together and honor your own timing as it works for you.

Hi, I'm Jennifer Degen, a somatic coach and resilience expert.

My personal journey has shaped my approach to coaching, and I bring that same determination to help my clients overcome their own challenges.

As a lifelong learner, I hold the equivalent of two master's degrees and have completed advanced graduate studies on trauma, attachment, and the embodied mind. I understand that trust, embodiment, and transformation are critical elements in the process of healing from burnout and achieving a more fulfilling life.
